OUR INVITATION

Three Paths Into the Space Between

Every retreat, every day, every meal at Space Between is organized around three principles that we believe are the fundamental human needs — consciousness, creativity, and connection.

Consciousness

Meditation. Yoga. Yoga Nidra. Breathwork. Nature bathing. Plant medicine journeys. The practice of paying attention to the space between thoughts — where you actually live.

Creativity

Woodworking. Indigo dyeing. Painting. Music. Fire performance. Dance. Building with your hands. The retreat that makes you remember you are a maker.

Connection

With yourself. With each other. With 260+ acres of redwood forest. With the food growing 50 feet from your table. With the stars overhead. With Source. With the Void.

THE PROPERTY

Two sides of the property — the Barn Side and the Pool Side — are connected by the open-air Yoga Deck that sits in the "Space Between". Wander between them through 200+ acres of redwood forest on trails we've named and mapped ourselves.

Hello world!

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing!

words from our guests

"I’ve done retreats all over the world, and nothing has felt like this.

There’s something about this place that goes beyond the programming. The land, the way the days unfold, the balance between structure and freedom—it all creates space for something real to happen. I left not just inspired, but actually changed in how I move through my life."

— Alex M., Founder

The most surprising part was what happened after.

"I came in expecting a reset. What I got was something deeper—clarity that didn’t fade when I got home. The way Samantha and Christopher hold the space, combined with the environment itself, makes it easier to actually integrate what you experience. That’s rare."

— Danielle R., Therapist

It felt like being invited into a world, not attending a retreat.

"Every detail—from the spaces to the meals to the conversations—felt intentional without being forced. I wrote more in four days than I had in the previous six months, and it didn’t feel like work. It felt like remembering something I’d lost."

— Jordan K., Writer

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge with deep respect that Space Between Retreat sits on the ancestral homeland of the Northern Pomo (Tabahtea) and Central Pomo (Ma-cu-maks) peoples, who have tended this land for countless generations. We are guests here. We carry that responsibility seriously — in how we build, how we gather, and how we give back.
